Mercedes Benz Stars brightening on road

The splendid new 2008 E-class models have several innovative features which are more developed and varied to ensure its leadership in the Egyptian market. This year, The E-Class surprises its audience with it new star E 230 CLASSIC for the first time which crowns the 2008 models of the E-CLASS which also include: E280 ELEGANCE, E280 AVANTGARDE and E350 ELEGANCE.

Through the E-Class models, Mercedes-Benz offers the most powerful engines in its category indisputably. Where 230 ClASSIC appears for the first time with its V6 engine with 2500cc, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.9 seconds with maximum speed 250km/h by 204 hp, the fuel tank capacity is 80 liters.

The E-Class has a direct control system which improves the performance of several systems such as: suspension system, speed automatic transmission and steering wheel directions which increase the vehicles’ stability and balance on road particularly on curves.

The 7G-TRONIC Transmission comes as a standard feature and is characterized by soft and smooth acceleration during gear changes, which improves the performance and the pleasure in driving.

One of the new features in E280 and E350 is the COMAND SYSTEM taken from the legendary S-CLASS, which facilitated the control of several functions such as: Radio, CD/DVD Changer and Cell Phone. The new 2008 model of E280 ELEGANCE has the feature of KEYLESS–GO System, Bi-Xenon headlamps with Active Light Function and Cornering light function. 

The New C-Class: more agility, and more sporty look

All models of this unique car allow the same pleasure of the exceptional driving experience, due to some added technical development.  The unique C-Class was able to set new standards in this sector in the market, either in its outstanding comfort in long distance driving or its dynamic driving.  All the C-Class models are common in the latest technology, as they are all equipped with the AGILITY CONTROL package.

The new C-Class in Egypt offers two types of the largest capacity performance engines and reduced fuel consumption compared to the previous model.  The C200 KOMPRESSOR is distinctive with its power which has an extra 20 hp than the previous model, delivering 184 hp combined with 250 Nm of torque, whereas the total fuel consumption increases with 0.5 liters /100 Km.  The C200 KOMPRESSOR accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 8.8 seconds and reaches a top speed of 230 km/h.

Its 6 cylinder engine provides more power, putting it on top of the most powerful engines in this category. Providing the C 280 with this powerful engine gives it an exceptional combination of elegance and response to achieve the best performance level.

This powerful engine with its smooth quietness generates 231 horsepower capacity and increases the car acceleration from 0-100 km/h in just 7.2 seconds, giving the car a top speed of 250 km/h. The automatic 7G-TRONIC gear shift comes as a standard feature in the C280.

B class: Mercedes-Benz in its practical character

The 2008 B-Class model comes with its new standard feature Cruise Control which allows the driver to choose a certain speed on the road to make driving more comfortable and to consume less fuel, especially in long trips. 

The newly designed, multi-functional steering wheel, you find yourself easily controlling the car audio system, CD and the central screen.

The four-cylinder engine meets the needs of the Compact Sports Tourer concept for effortless performance and optimum driving pleasure.  Delivering a maximum torque of 140 Nm, the engine accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 13.2 seconds, and reaches a top speed of 174 km/h.  Whether sporty or relaxed, the B-Class transmission masters any style with ease, thanks to the latest generation in automatic transmission technology, AUTOTRONIC.

The B-Class comes with a lot of safety features such as the Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Acceleration Skid Control (ASR) and Brake Assist (BAS).  The unique sandwich concept, which achieves wonders where economy of space is concerned, is the centerpiece of the safety concept in the new B-Class. During a severe frontal impact, the drive unit is not moved backwards towards the interior, but slides downwards along the likewise inclined pedal floor panel.
