Beyonce, the new Marilyn?

Everyone remembers the images of Marilyn Monroe singing "Happy Birthday" to John Fitzgerald Kennedy, the American president who was assassinated in 1963. The event made its imprint on history.

The singer Beyonce dreams about the same thing. She has announced that she is ready to sing the song on 20th January, the day Obama officially becomes the new president of the United States.

The offer isn't so surprising when you consider that the R&B star was reduced to tears when she found out the democratic senator had won the election.

She stated that she had never felt so patriotic. All that remains is to see whether Barack Obama will take her up on her offer!
