(Sleeping Beauty) celebrates its half-century

You wouldn't think it to look at her delicate face, but Princess Aurora is celebrating 50 years! To mark the occasion, Disney is releasing a special edition of the classic "Sleeping Beauty" just in time for Christmas.

It's the perfect season to get reacquainted with the world of fairies that provides the setting for this magical full-length feature film, which has brought joy to so many generations.

The story has all the elements of a traditional tale: in a faraway country, King Stefan organises a celebration in honour of his new-born baby daughter. Three godmothers are invited to bestow special qualities upon the new princess.

However, the wicked sorceress Maleficent crashes the party and places a curse on Aurora...
