Guns N' Roses' comeback album was like a ghost that no one really believed in...

For instance the American soda company Dr. Pepper even promised to offer a can of their fizzy drink to everyone in the USA (over the course of a day) if GnR released their long-awaited album "Chinese Democracy" before the end of the year.

Well promises must be kept, because the epic that Axl Rose has spent more than 10 years labouring over, and which was scheduled for release first in 2006 and then in 2007, is finally out.

Perhaps less surprisingly, Dr. Pepper's servers were inundated by the public taking up the offer, finally crashing. But fair play, the extended was extended by a day to allow everyone to get a free coupon... except Slash and Buckethead ˆ according to a Dr. Pepper press release the ex-Guns N' Roses guitarists aren't eligible!
