Controversial British singer Amy Winehouse has been reported to have been hospitalized again, which isn’t the first time this year!
According to her spokesperson, Amy was not heading back to rehab as falsely alleged, but was on her way to the hospital in order to be checked out for a chest infection and is expected to leave there within a couple of days.
Struggling with her own destructive personality, Winehouse has already been to rehab in order to kick out her addictions.
Amy, along with her husband Blake –recently in jail-, have been addicted to alcohol, crack cocaine and heroin, that besides her problems with self-harm, as she used to injure herself to ease the pain of withdrawal.
Back in June, Amy’s doctors had advised her to quit smoking or else..die! but by the end of that month, she was spotted smoking a cigarette.
It should be noted that Mitchell Winehouse -Amy’s father- has lately stated that his daughter’s lungs are functioning at only 70% capacity, and that she had irregular heartbeat, as well as suffering from emphysema, which was later denied by Amy’s publicist.
Amy, the 25-year-old singer, with her powerful contralto vocals is best known for her preference to mix various musical genres like soul, jazz, R&B and R&R.
In this year’s Grammy awards, Winehouse was nominated for a total of six Grammys and won five, which enabled her to entering the 2009 Guinness Book of World Records as the first British female singer to ever win that sum of Grammy awards in just one night.
After the huge success of her latest critically acclaimed album “Back in Black”, Amy Winehouse is scheduled to finish some tours in several countries, and it’s been confirmed by her spokesperson that she’s been asked to perform in the forthcoming tribute album to the legendary Quincy Jones, and that she’s recently discussing the matter with Mark Ronson.
